Yahoo Go

by Jason on September 3rd, 2006

Yahoo! has finally released what seems to be a full-featured mobile application for its users, Yahoo! Go. I haven’t downloaded and installed the application yet on my Sprint PPC-6700, but will be doing so later this afternoon and get the full scoop on how everything works.

Pocket PC Addict had the scoop and let’s us know which platforms it works on and some of the details.

With Yahoo! Go™, your stuff is always with you and easy to use.

Click on the arrow to the right of the phone to learn more:

  • Contacts — Stored phone numbers are automatically synched
  • Photos — Take a picture and it’s stored online
  • Messenger* — Record voice instant messages
  • Mail — Get notified when new email arrives

I wonder if it will synch all of the MyYahoo! stuff I have already setup. I would think it would, I just hope they do a better job of displaying the information than the website currently does on my Pocket PC OS and browser (Bloglines and Gmail are by far the best sites I’ve seen rendered on the mobile browser that are still as useful as the original).

So, there’s the scoop, I’ll come back later after I’ve played around with and give you the toppings to put on top of that scoop.
