What did you get for Christmas? ….$8.5M, how about you?
$8.5 million! That’s what Digg.com got from some of their existing investors for some reason. No real details on some of the websites I’ve been reading about the infusion of cash on lately. One site mentioned “expansion into new markets”.
I think the Digg.com site is okay, I’m subscribed to their RSS Feed, but honestly, the quantity is just too overwhelming for me to really pay attention to it. The other thing I don’t like is that it’s easy to bloat the system if you’ve got enough friends in the right places.
Let me ask you this, if someone sends you a link and asks you to “Digg” something for them, do you read the entire story and then decide for yourself if it’s worth Digging, or do you just Digg it because your friend said so?
It’s this type of thing that makes me less interested in the actual effect of Digging something. If I’ve got time, I’ll peruse through the listing to see if something catches my eye, but many times on many days I just don’t have the time to hassle with it.
