New Numa Contest Voting Starts

Eight months ago, I asked if Gary Brolsma’s New Numa would prove that you can follow up an organic meme with an authentic performance. Based on the 328 contest entries Gary’s gathered up for voting, the answer is yes.

Marketers, take note. The key to cashing in on a bottom-up online phenomenon is authenticity. I know that didn’t mean much in the manufactured images of mass marketing — but in the rapidly fragmenting yet connected markets of the emerging Earth, it means everything.
