Google Expanding to Cube Farm Land

by Jason on August 30th, 2006

Google has released a collection of their applications in an effort to build a virtual office productivity suite. Is this a legitimate competitor to Office 2007 or OpenOffice?

I don’t think so, I still think it’s just an ongoing strategy to just release stuff and see if it sticks. If it does, it provides additional advertising revenue opportunities. It also distracts Microsoft from their efforts on pursuing search even more strongly.
