TrueNuff Entertainment, the crazy guys behind the Mac versus PC parodies, have been tapped to make ads comparing social news startup Thoof with social news pioneer Digg. The ads emphasize Thoof’s recommendation engine, folksonomy, and wiki-like editing. That, and they’re pretty damn funny.

And now, some epic pwnage to make you smile this weekend: MediaDefender, a company that works for the MPAA to build fake video-sharing sites that entrap uploaders and fake torrents that spam filesharers, has been hacked. A group called MediaDefender-Defenders has leaked nine months’ worth of MediaDefender internal emails — fittingly enough, as a torrent.
