iPhone 3G: Will It Blend?

Once again, I’m so glad I don’t own an iPhone. As if to commemorate the great iPhone 2.0 activation snafu, Blendtec blends an iPhone 3G.
Will it blend? Hell, will it activate?

Enough iPhone 3G Hype!

Before anything else, let’s make one thing clear: I do not dislike the iPhone 3G. Unlike its predecessor, it delivers many of the standard features of today’s smartphones, for a surprisingly low price.
Unlike its predecessor, it actually supports third-party apps. Admittedly, it will only support Steve-approved apps, but sacrificing flexibility for stability is simply the […]

Mac Fanboys Should Listen to Ghandi

I’ve played around with a Mac. I like it.
On the other hand, I’ve heard rabid Apple fanboys make many ridiculous claims over the years. The latest? “The iPhone could kill the Nintendo DS.” Fucking ridiculous. Even my brother, a Mac fan who’s planning to buy the 3G iPhone, doesn’t buy that nonsense.
When Ghandi visited a […]

GTA4 Parodies iPhone!

Apparently, the creators of Grand Theft Auto IV hold Apple in the same esteem that I do. One of the Internet cafe computers in the game features the website of a fictional computer company called “Fruit”. Think simple. Think minimalism. Think overpriced.
The game also takes a swipe at the iPhone, parodying it as the “iFruit”.

Steve Jobs Introduces the Apple “i”

Steve Jobs is a genius at both hardware design and public speaking. The guy could package and sell absolutely anything, even if it could do absolutely nothing. In fact, that’s exactly what he does in this parody clip as he introduces Apple’s latest wonder, the “i”.
What exactly can it do? Who cares? It’s Apple! After […]

MacBook Air Confuses Airport Security

Last week, I was playing Final Fantasy VI on my Nokia N95 when a building guard told me I shouldn’t take pictures. I had to point out that the lens cap was closed, and that his building looked nothing like Figaro Castle.
Of course, that’s nothing compared to what technologist Michael Nygard went through at the […]

Clever Mac Web Ad Assaults Vista!

I’m no Mac fanboy, but I have to admit they make great ads. Watch the top banner in this video capture of a new Mac versus PC Web ad attacking Vista. Now this is an ad well-adapted to its medium!
Personally, I’m not getting Vista unless it’s an OEM on a new PC. How about you?

Jailbroken iPhone at Apple Store

See, this is what happens when you screw over your savviest customers. You get pwned.
Apple stores have WiFi. AppSnapp can jailbreak iPhones. AppSnapp is available online at JailBreakMe.com. Customers are pissed. That’s how this Apple Store ended up displaying a jailbroken iPhone.
Now go to your local Apple Store and jailbreak their iPhones before they block […]

iPod Sets Pants on Fire

“So I look down and I see flames coming up to my chest,” said Danny Williams.
Williams said the burn hole from the pocket of his pants marks the spot of his 15 seconds of flame. He said he had an iPod Nano and an glossy piece of paper in his pocket. He believes the paper […]
